Otter Island

Location :

If you want to be in a remote location away from everybody else, than that's the place to be. This cabin is on a small island (500m x 300m) on Big Salmon Lake. Here you are on your own. Big Salmon Lake is 10 km long and for Yukon standards a medium size lake, well suited for canoeing. Big Salmon Lake is surrounded by steep mountains and spruce forest. The connecting streams between the lakes have a very slow current and can be paddled upstream. They are bordered with marshy areas and grassy sloughs, prime moosehabitat.
